The Clinical Outcomes Specialist on the Nursing G12W GU/Breast/General Internal Medicine unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas serves as a clinical expert in nursing to improve the quality of care. Impacts patient care and clinical operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing quality or clinical nurse leadership. The shift will be Monday - Friday day shifts, with rotating holidays required.
The Inpatient Medical Oncology unit is a 30-bed unit providing care to adult medical oncology inpatients with a diagnosis of solid tumor malignancies; primary services include genitourinary, breast, and internal medicine.

Essential Job FunctionsIdentifies quality and process improvements. Leads and collaborates with the inter-professional team in planning delivery and evaluation of patient-focused care. Coordinates and integrates care with the inter-professional team for a cohort of patients from admission through discharge. Analyzes patient data and outcomes.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Master's degree in a healthcare field.
EXPERIENCE: Five years clinical nursing experience to include three years of oncology nursing experience.
With preferred degree, three years of oncology nursing.
LICENSURE: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Certification in quality or specialty focused area.
