Airport Connections (SFO & OAK) (2024)

Oakland International Airport (OAK)

BART trains connect OAK with downtown San Francisco, downtown Oakland, and many other Bay Area destinations. BART is the best way to avoid sitting in Bay Area traffic, and the Oakland Airport BART station is just a short walk to both airline terminals. Plan your trip and get fares to other destinations by using the Trip Planner.

All riders need Clipper to ride BART.Clipper is a regional transit card that can be used on all transit in the Bay Area. We encourage travelers to put a Clipper card on their mobile phones in advance of arriving to the stationinstead of obtaining plastic Clipper cards because global supply chain issues have depleted the inventory of plastic cards. Clipper is available for mobile phones through either Apple Pay or Google Pay. Every rider needs their own digital card (multiple cards can be added toa phone's digital wallet).Clipper iswaivingthe standard $3 new-card fee for people who add a new digital card.
